Lions' Hanson kicks 40th FG from 50-plus yards
|

Jason Hanson kicked a 53-yard field goal against the Tennessee Titans and tied Morten Anderson's NFL record for the most kicks from 50-plus yards.
Hanson made his 40th field goal from 50-plus yards Thursday on the 74th attempt of his career, which started with the Lions in 1992.
Anderson was 40-of-84 from 1982-2007. He played for New Orleans, Atlanta, Kansas City, Minnesota and the New York Giants.

Bills fans demand roof raised for game at Toronto

What was the NFL thinking when it scheduled the warm-weather Miami Dolphins to play their division-rival Buffalo Bills in the cozy confines of a domed stadium in December, and in Canada of all places?
That's the question numerous unhappy Bills fans have been asking since the schedule came out with Buffalo playing a "home" game against Miami at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Dec. 7.

Bills LB Ellison returns to practice, likely to play
|

Bills linebacker Keith Ellison returned to practice Thursday, a day after the starter was held out because of a sore ankle, and is likely to play Sunday when Buffalo hosts San Francisco.
Coach Dick Jauron said Ellison was feeling better, which was good news for an already depleted linebacking corps that could be without top reserve Teddy Lehman, who missed a second straight day of practice with a hamstring injury.
