Sample Mental Skills Profile

The following profile was created for a High School player who was 16 years old.   The graph shows the relative strengths and weaknesses of his mental game.  He makes good use of goal-setting (GS) and has no problem energizing himself when necessary (ENG).   He is also good at relying on automatic reactions during practices and games (FLO).

The weakest parts of his mental game are his ability to stay mentally focused (TM), control his emotions (EMO), and remain calm in pressure situations (CLM).   Development in these areas should be a priority so that he can get the most out of his physical tools package.
